How do I turn a video into a recipe?+
Open a cooking video in Instagram, TikTok or YouTube, tap Share, and choose Umami. Umami watches the video and writes up the ingredients and method. It takes about 20 seconds, and the recipe is saved to your Cookbook.
How many recipes can I make for free?+
Free accounts get a set number of conversions each month, and your very first one doesn't count. When you've used them, Umami tells you the date they reset. Recipes you've already made stay in your Cookbook either way.
What does Umami Pro include?+
Umami Pro gives you as many recipe conversions as you cook with, subject to a fair-use limit. It comes as a monthly or a yearly plan. The yearly plan starts with a one-week free trial for new subscribers.
How do I cancel or change my subscription?+
In Umami, open your profile and tap Manage on the Umami Pro card. You can also cancel from your App Store or Google Play account settings. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for.
I paid but still see the free plan+
Close Umami and open it again, signed in to the same Umami account you subscribed with and the same App Store or Google Play account you paid with. If it still shows the free plan, email us with your receipt and we will sort it out.
A video didn't turn into a recipe+
Some videos can't be read, for example private posts or videos with no cooking in them. Try sharing it again, or try another video. A conversion that fails doesn't use up a free conversion. If the same video keeps failing, send us the link.
How do I delete my account?+
Open your profile and tap Delete my account. Without a subscription, your account and recipes are deleted straight away and this can't be undone. With an active subscription, deletion is scheduled for the end of your billing period and you can cancel it from your profile until then. Deleting your account doesn't cancel the subscription, so turn off auto-renew in the App Store or Google Play as well.
